Welcome, and let us take a moment to introduce ourselves. Jeff is a former travel agent, teacher, and school district IT director. Erin, a professional photographer, is also a former teacher and school librarian. Both recently retired, we live in suburban Portland, Oregon. Nearly every summer of our past 35 years has been spent traveling. We’ve also squeezed in a lot of travel weeks and weekends throughout each year!
Our top travel goals are to visit every continent, every US state, and every US national park. So far, we’ve been to five continents (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America), 44 US states, and 53 of the US’s 63 amazing national parks.
We love to meet new people and explore new places. We believe that traveling makes people better stewards of our planet and more compassionate citizens of the world. We also know that traveling can be expensive and that most Americans have limited time for travel. We hope this blog will help you maximize both your time and your money as you travel and explore. We’d love to learn from your experiences as well, so please comment on our posts!
Enjoy your next travel adventure, whether it’s for a week or a weekend!
