School is about to start up again, but since we now live the free and easy retirement life, we’re about to embark on our first retirement road trip in our fifth wheel, Goldie. Our plan is to post here somewhat regularly to keep you updated. If you’re not signed up to get an email each time we post, click the Follow button so you don’t miss any of the trip. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of new places, meeting up with old friends and creating new ones, spending time with family, and enjoying some happy hour cocktail recipes from the newly revised (just 50 years ago!) Trader Vic’s Bartender’s Guide some friends recently gifted us.
There are three new-to-us national parks on our route! The first will be Gateway Arch in Missouri. Then we’ll wind our way to White Sands in New Mexico, and eventually visit Pinnacles in central California. These three, added to the 50 we’ve already explored, will put our total at 53 of the US’s national parks. We’re making progress toward our goal of visiting all 63!
We’ve been planning this trip for about two years, and we’re super excited about it. We look forward to sharing all the fun with you here. In addition, check out our planned trip route, and follow our daily progress by checking out our Tripline!
If you’d like to meet up with us somewhere on the road, give a holler. Stay tuned, and enjoy your next travel adventure, whether it’s for a week or a weekend!

Oh no. I’m so, so sorry, Erin. Big hug and thoughts for comfort for all of you.
